I love diamonds, they're my birthstone! But somehow I always felt ripped off when all the other colors were so vibrant and brilliant. They're sort of like the Emperor's New Clothes of stones...Still can't get over your gorgeous new header!

I've never liked diamonds particularly, though I can think of specific examples in which they were becoming. For me it is above all black pearls, followed by other types of pearls, followed by turquoise, coral and the many beautifully-colored semi-precious stones. I think I would envy Queen Nefertiti's and Cleopatra's necklaces before Marie Antoinettes!
